Women Connect Relationship Chat: My Deceptive Make Up, My Smile by Dorcas Asogba

I understand you survived an abusive relationship

I understand how you fought to keep it going but it fails

 My deceptive make-up, my smile

I could understand how you absorb those pains

Rejections and neglecting, all for love

But still it didn’t work out

You still had your deceptive makeup, your smile

I could imagine how you paint the picture perfect so that you are not scorned

But all end in disgrace you’re still with your deceptive smile

All your effort is not visible because you never made it obvious

But you are dying in silence.

Just because you have your deceptive make up on, your smile

Your ordeal is only felt by sensitive neighbor

Your energy your sacrifice

It all end at the bridge of divorce

Your deceptive make-up is diluted, your smile

Then you begin to wonder how u failed yourself

Your wasted effort, sacrifices and dedication

Your faith is lost and you are hopeless

Then you realize you have deceived yourself with your smile

What then is life?

Why the smile when all is not well?

My maternity scars

Who will accept me like I am?

My deceptive make-up cannot cover these scars, my smile

Here I am battered rejected, and neglected

Oh! What a life, rhetorical questions emerges

Deceptive make-up exposed, my smile

They asked questions that questioned your faith and sanity

You feel lost and used

You lost words for defense

Deceptive makeup all cleared, no more smiles

 Hey look at this scripture;

“For I know the plans I have for you declares the lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

If you tried all by your strength, you prayed and fasted, you hope and it all still didn’t work-out, the makeup and come out as you are, since it didn’t work-out don’t you think there is a reason for it?

I believe God is in and its knowledge for it to work that way, because he never delight in our afflictions. If u can read this its means you are alive and that definitely means there is hope. Look at it this way, you have been given a life of second chance that is second chance to life second chance to live second chance to choose not just choose bluntly but wisely. A second chance to experience life afresh the true love of God the true love of human from a better best spouse

So why the sorry face why are you depressed?

Why is your countenance dark, count your blessing and you will see that the Lord is good to you.

Do not allow anyone to pity you any longer instead a congratulatory greet is what u should expect because you went through fire it dint hurt u

You went into the deep water but it didn’t swallow you.

Your scar is a sign of victory. So wear your scar of victory with pride.
